According to news sources, importers of used Japanese cars have loosed millions of Dollars to fraud so-called car exporters in Japan. More than 30 victims of used car scams has contacted the Embassy of Kenya in Tokyo the capital of Japan for helping in recovery of their cheated money they have remittance to fraud companies for purchase of cars, but most so called exporters disappear after receiving the money. The Embassy of Kenya in Japan has issued warning to all Kenyans to verify reliability of any Japanese company before purchase of any product including vehicles.
The criminals are showing themselves legitimate Japanese car exporter by using computer graphics to create good looking websites, dragging pictures of used cars from other websites, and great looking advertisement on the internet including banners. The fraudlents use high technique to create advanced professional looking websites and advertise very cheap price cars to cheat their victims. Those cars are actually impossible to buy at such cheap price even in Japan’s domestic market. The victim don’t think the matter is suspicious and rush to get cheaper price used car.
On the other hand, still good and legitimate car export companies are selling good quality cars to all over the world without any problem. But the problem is that how can an importer know if a company showing in the internet exist or not. The answer is “very easy”. Just check if any Japanese company is trustworthy or not in “Japan Company Trust Organization” also called as “JCTO“. Their website is www.japancompanytrust.org and the search is 100% free. Japan Company Trust Organization is an “Anti-fraud Organization” in Japan. It’s Headquarters is in Tokyo and only trustworthy Japanese companies with clear record and no criminal back-ground are eligible to register with Japan Company Trust Organization (JCTO).
