Zimbabwe has lifted ban on used vehicles import

The Government of Zimbabwe has announced the lift of used vehicles import ban in the country. Minister of transportation Mr. Nicholas Goche announced that the Zimbabwean government has lifted the ban on import of all kinds of used automobiles. This easing in the auto import law is not endless, but until the country’s full economy-recovery. However, import of Japanese used cars will be well monitored to clear any risk of radiation.

The minster informed to parliamentary committee on transport and infrastructure development that there is no age limit on used cars to import in the country. Previously the law was imposed in the year 2010 in which only five years old or newer used cars were allowed to import in Zimbabwe. To avoid import of radiation effected used vehicle, the Japan inspection organization conduct inspection of used vehicles to ensure risk free quality of Japanese cars.
